SGPA Relaunches SGPAction.com

Smart Girl Politics Action is the force it is because of our strategic use of social media. Since our inception, we have strived to use the latest technology available to help us engage, educate, and empower conservative women. Today, we are excited to announce the relaunch of our SGPAction.com site. This new site combines the information and integrated social networking of our previous site with a powerful set of activist tools on our backend.

The new online homebase will continue to provide our members and supporters the latest information on hot topics, congressional activities, and what is going on at SGPA. It will also allow us to support a women's blogger network of up to two hundred women across the country that will be able to share their point of view and then immediately broadcast it through social media. The new SGPAction.com will provide our state organizations, now twenty-three strong, with additional tools to help them promote events, sign up volunteers, and track their progress through social media outlets.

What is the difference between our Ning site and the new SGPAction.com?

The best way to describe the difference is that Ning is a cool place for our members to hang out, chat, share their opinions, and meet online. The new site is not a hangout. It is a place for people to take action. Here are just a few things you will be able to do as an activist on the new site:

  • Assist with phone banking efforts
  • Recruit friends and family to join
  • Assist with get out the vote efforts in your community
  • Become a member of your state organization

There are many other additional features to the site including the ability to earn points, or political capital, as an activist. We will be rolling out new details in the upcoming weeks on ways you can earn and spend points on SGPA merchandise for retweeting our @OfficialSGP account on Twitter, liking a post on our FB wall, spreading word about our site, making a donation, and much much more. Stay tuned for more details.

Take a few minutes and look around the site - let us know what you think. You can create an account on the site by simply clicking on the VOLUNTEER button. Become a Supporting Member of the organization by signing up to donate as little as $5 per month. Each Supporting Member will receive a limited edition Members Card, and will be helping to ensure that Conservative women make their voices heard in this 2012 election.

If you have ever wanted to get involved with Smart Girl Politics, NOW is the time to do it. We are committed to being the heels on the ground around the country so women are engaged this election season. We can no longer sit back and wait for someone else to do it. You are that someone else! So if you were involved, but haven't been in a while or if you are new to the organization, step up now and help us make real change in 2012!!
