State Coordinator:Cheryl Lavette

Cheryl Lavette is a Registered Investment Advisor and serves as Vice President, Director of Sales & Distribution with a money management firm in Atlanta, Georgia. In her political sphere, she currently serves as the Georgia State Coordinator for Smart Girl Politics, is a member of the Atlanta 912, Tea Party Patriots, Buckhead and Downtown Republican Women’s Clubs, among other activists organizations. In 2011, she was elected to the Fulton County Executive Committee; U.S. Georgia 5th District, and Georgia State delegation for the Republican Party of Georgia.

In the financial arena, she served as Director and Programs Chairperson on the Georgia Securities Association Board of Directors from 2003-2009. Since 2001, Cheryl has served in several positions on the Atlanta Association of Women in (Financial) Securities Executive Board, including President in 2003 and 2005. She earned her B.A. in Economics from Agnes Scott College.

Cheryl resigned from the financial boards to become more active politically. In 2010, Cheryl started the ‘National Debt and Economic Watch Group’ on Smart Girl Politics. She also became actively involved in the U.S. Georgia 5th District race for Fenn Little, challenger to incumbent Representative John Lewis. She served in various roles within the campaign from speaker, to hosting ‘meet & greets’, to passing out flyers door to door.
