MIKE MCKAY: FAIR-WEATHER FRIEND OF THE TEA PARTY?

Let the reader decide...

Mike McKay is running for Delegate for MD District 1C. His opposition in the GOP primary is Ray Givens (no relation). Of course I am extremely interested in where GOP candidates stand on the TEA Party, more so since the national Republican Party publicly declared war on us. I have made it my mission to expose those who would distance themselves from us in solidarity with the establishment power brokers in our Party.
I tried to contact McKay by telephone as soon as he began to campaign. I called several times and left phone messages asking him to please return my call. I got no response.  It was around this time that someone approached me to tell me that McKay had been a speaker at a union event in Hagerstown where he said, when asked about his relationship with the TEA Party,
" I used to belong to the TEA Party, but I distanced myself from them about 3 years ago."
This peaked my interest and I wanted to hear directly from him the meaning of this statement. I called a few more times before I realized that he was not going to return my call.
I attended a meeting of the Allegany TEA Party Conservative Caucus, hoping that I would get a chance to talk to their members about the group's relationship with McKay. It wasn't  until after the meeting when several of us went to lunch did I hear about what may have occurred three years ago. I must tell you that I was not in an "interview setting."  I was seated at a long table at the end seat, so I was basically only able to listen to the conversation around the table. I heard feelings of betrayal. Those at the table believed that they were used to get McKay elected as County Commissioner and then dropped like a bad habit just after the election.  As I said, it was not an interview. There was no one on the record. It did make me all the more determined to find out his side of the story...if he would just return my calls.
As the events organizer for the Hagerstown TEA Party, I invited him along with all Republican and Democratic candidates for MD Districts 1C, 2A, and 2B to a TEA Party-sponsored candidate's forum.  HTP candidate forums are non-partisan and all candidates are invited to participate and are treated with respect. This was proven true during the last election cycle. I sent an email and  I sent a formal invitation by U.S. mail. I did not expect to hear from him since all attempts to contact him had been ignored.  Just in case he would hesitate due to my last name (the same as his opponent), I made it clear that there is no family relation. He was the first to reply! He said that he had to attend an earlier County Council meeting that evening, but that as soon as it was over he would head towards Hagerstown, and he would be arriving late. We had a little rather hurried back and forth about a statement that he wanted to be read to those in attendance. It sounded like a campaign statement, not an explanation for his tardiness. I told him that it wouldn't be fair to the other candidates to allow a statement without his presence and without Q&A.  We finally agreed that it would be just a statement on his tardiness. However, when I finally received the statement it was more than what we agreed on...and he did not show up. Again, a missed attempt to hear his side of his statement to the union crowd and to ask him if he was following the lead of the national Party and distancing himself.
My last attempt to speak directly with Mike McKay was at the Allegany TEA Party and Conservative Caucus candidate's forum. I (You can see the video of  this event with both candidates responding to Q&A at http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Uqevx95T4Mw.) After the forum I found an opportunity to approach him and speak to him privately. He knew who I was before introducing myself...so he did know that I was the one that he had seemingly been avoiding for months. Finally, I asked him:
"I am told that you made a statement before a union crowd that you had distanced yourself from the TEA Party about 3 years ago. Is this in solidarity with the national GOP's "war on the TEA Party"?

He answered without hesitation, giving an emphatic "No." I pushed. I told him that some in the group feel that he used them to get elected and then quit. He again, without hesitation, explained that the group was under different leadership at the time. He felt that the leadership back then had become a little "unruly." He said that their president was making public accusations about illegal behavior by public servants from the sheriff's department on up. He felt that it was unfounded and irresponsible. What could I say? I too may have distanced myself under those circumstances. I told him that I would attempt to verify this claim. He assured me that he still wholly espoused TEA Party principles.
Since then the Allegany group has endorsed Ray Givens as their candidate for Delegate for District 1C. I spoke to two people currently in leadership: one was around when McKay was a member and the other was not. Both believed that there was some truth to his explanation of why he quit the TEA Party three years ago. My nagging concern...
He didn't tell the union crowd why he distanced himself from the TEA Party, or that he still espoused TEA Party principles....and he avoided me for as long as he could.

I have tried to be fair and give the reader something to think about before voting. I too have since decided to endorse Ray Givens. Why? There has never been a doubt about his friendship with the  TEA Party. I know first hand that he has attended most of our events since its inception in 2009.  If I have a question I can call him and he will answer or get back to me as soon as possible. I don't know, maybe he has more time than McKay for phone calls. After all, Ray Givens is retired while Mike McKay owns and manages 6 dry cleaning stores and I believe he has 8 children at home. Fact is one responds the other does not.
Ray Givens has been a tireless advocate for the Second Amendment, making the long trip to Annapolis and back many times over the years. He made that trip from Hancock sometimes twice a week during the SB281 debate. He is committed to Conservative causes. He is available to the public.  To me it just makes sense. I support Ray Givens for Delegate for MD District 1C.

America on Shaky Ground: What the Frack?

As we chisel away at, drill into, extract elements from and force pressure into our foundation, instability becomes inevitable. The perfectly shocking example to shed light on what can happen, when we disturb even the most solid foundation, can be found in the little town of Picher, Oklahoma, where what once was a town is now a giant sink hole. Due to exhaustive mining operations, Picher is now deemed by the EPA as the most toxic place in the country.  Sinkholes have appeared on numerous occasions overnight as old mining shafts collapse and water comes bubbling up through the earth's layers, concentrated with heavy metals from old and highly toxic mining waste.

From sand castles and tunnels to drilling and probing, we all love to explore the unknown and dig for buried treasure. Oklahoma deals with much, weather-wise, but due to inactivity related to the depth of the major fault line running through our state, earth quakes have not been a major concern until now. The recently increased earthquake frequency and intensity has become unsettling, so to speak.

Two earth shaking events, with a magnitude of 5 and 5.7, occurred within 500 meters to the depth of several injection wells. Studies show these wells were disposing of water that had been separated from oil during the process of drilling. We’ve all heard the term hydrofracking, but what you may not know is that during this operation, water in amounts of up to 8 times the amount of oil is simultaneously extracted from the earth and replaced into waste water wells for disposal. Yes, this process has been going on since the 1990’s, however, water has previously drained to gravity do to patency or rather, ease of flow without blockage, therefore no need to inject with pressure. Over the last 20 years, forced pressure has become more necessary to make it possible to push the water through the pipes to previously produced areas, which are now essentially full with only limited and cramped space.

Since these findings, we are seeing swarms of seismic activity across our nation along the north western edge of the craton, which has been stable for a billion years, until now it appears. Included in this literal undertaking is, for example, the mud slide that occurred in Colorado last month, which appears to be caused by the colibran gas system pumping CO2 into high pressure liquid sand.  USGS denies these findings while main stream media conveniently leaves out details and footage of the truth:

Scientists once at war with each other in their findings and opinions are now coming together, one by one, in concern for the unnaturally increased instability of our country’s foundation.

Our country was built on firm foundation, which is now becoming unstable, in more ways than one.  Is the very foundation, on which we stand, at risk of collapse?

SGP: Global Warming - First 80F at Minneapolis Airport in nearly 8 months

For many years now, any time any location in the world experienced more than a few days of above 90F weather, the Meteorologists would ring their hands in worry. "Further proof of Global Warming?", they would eventually posit. And the Main Stream Media would dutifully chant the global warming propaganda.

Yet, this writer has been often perplexed when the Meteorologists and Main Stream Media don't report that perhaps Global Warming isn't occurring when we experience colder weather below normal.

Lets think about that for a moment. For only 4 months of the past year, were temperatures in the Minnesota Twin Cities region above 80F. The 2013 Spring in Minnesota was very late. The 2013-2014 winter was particularly harsh. And the 2014 Spring is running about 5-7 weeks late when we divine the blossoming of the dandelion and the build up of the greatly reduced honeybee population.

Yet, to the best of his knowledge, again no Main Stream Media has ran a story indicating that this recent bout of colder than usual weather tends to disprove the existence of Global Warming.
Regular readers recall this writer has written previously about the Global Warming aka Climate Change hoax. The latest iteration of this writer's article follows here:

And, therefore, to avoid appearing hypocritical, this writer has written this article and proclaims that this near 8 month absence of of temperatures about 80F in the Minnesota Twin Cities area further disproves the bogus Global Warming Scam.

But this writer would suggest to you that this one sided Global Warming Mantra of US Main Stream Media is something more sinister, rather than something simply quizzical.

GLOBAL WARMING AS CASE STUDY IN THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TRUTH IN THE US

This writer asserts to you that this repetition of facts only favorable to the theory of Global Warming is a psychological tactic. The psychological tactic being to give you only information that supports the "truth" your government wants you to arrive at.

Those of you who have read some of my earlier articles regarding Natural Law, Divine Right of Kings, Marxism and Progressivism know something of how Truth is established in pursuant to these various metaphysical/Government models.

Under the Governance Doctrine of the Divine Right of Kings, Truth was established by...

SGP: Who establishes Truth in America?

This writer is so amazed at how diverse the "truth" that individuals in Social Media think they have established for themselves, that he feels compelled to discuss how Truth is currently established in America. This writer has become aware of this phenomenon through his polite requests on his Twitter account @DMashak for persons to post links to credible sources on various subject matters.

Folks who align themselves with the left half of the political spectrum feel only CNN, MSNBC and Politico are credible sources of information. Those who align themselves with the right half of the political spectrum feel that only Fox, The Drudge Report, The Blaze and PJNet are credible sources of information. And, it is maddening to hear both sides say the information sources of the other side are not credible.

Perhaps the best way to consider this subject as it pertains to America is to look at the history of who have been the "Establishers of Truth" in Western Societies.

DIVINE RIGHT OF KINGS

After the Fall of the Western Roman Empire, circa 476AD the Western world entered a period of time known as the Dark Ages. Out of this "chaos' developed a Governance Doctrine of the Divine Right of Kings and an economic system of feudalism. Under this system, almost all persons existed as serfs bound to the land with only a small number of Aristocrats, Clergy and free men. (In fact, the Magna Carta only applied to Aristocrats, Clergy and free men, not Serfs). Under this political/economic system, no one had rights; only permissions and privileges granted by the King. Under Divine Right of Kings, only the King owned the lands. Therefore, no one was on any land without the King's (or his representative's) permission.

The Divine Right of Kings stated that the King was a God or representative of God, here on earth and, therefore, no earthly being could challenge his decisions or authority. In this precarious position of having no rights and living only at the will and whim of the King, it seems apparent that the King and Clergy came to be the Establishers of Truth in this political/economic system. Some famous examples of this are "the world is flat" and "the Earth is the center of the Universe" Revocation of permissions and privileges, such as your home on the King's land, is an easily identified cause of subjects of the King, accepting the truth established by the King and the King's Church. And if that did not get the job done, physical punishment and/or eternal damnation or both motivated most to accept the truth established by the King and the Church.

ENLIGHTENMENT 1650-1800AD

The Enlightenment, also known as the Age of Reason, occurred from about 1650AD to 1800AD. Great scientific discoveries regarding the physical world by folks like Galileo and Newton, led to a similar interest in the study of humankind itself. Catalyzed by the introduction of the Printing Press to Europe and its subsequent proliferation throughout Europe, The Enlightenment eventually caused the Men of Letters, and finally Western Societies as a whole, to question why the King was the King, Why the King and Church Established Truth, and why the masses could not ever tell the King that the King was wrong. From the Enlightenment arose Natural Law. Natural Law provides that "Truth is to be determined by the Individual using their own observations and reason". Persons, such as John Locke, insisted that the Law of Nature always existed and they were merely reducing to writing that which already existed. Hence, Natural Law, like the freezing point of pure water at 32F at Sea Level, cannot be changed by any earthly-being.

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1776

THE United States of America (1776) are founded upon Natural Law. Proof that our country was founded on Natural Law can...
